First Drone Racing Tournament for GSMA Shanghai, China


The Mobile World Congress ("MWC") Shanghai 2017 will be taking place between June 8, 2017, to July 1, 2017, at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. GSMA, the organizing body, expects approximately 65,000 attendees and 650 participating companies. The overarching purpose of the MWC is to showcase the latest mobile innovations, smartphones, and other technological devices. For the first time, the mobile organization will hold a drone racing tournament during this event, with China's top FPV drone racing pilots trying to de-thrown 2016 World Drone Prix champion Luke Bannister (UK), 2nd runner-up Maciej Poschwald, as well as the winner of the 2016 Shanghai Flying Cup of Drone Racing, Hai Lang. A special designated "Drone Zone" will be set up for the drone race tournament at the "Experience Halls" during the MWC. In partnership with EJ Krause's International Drone Expo ("IDE") The latest drone hardware and services will also be showcased during the event.
